FFC cable type definition

There are many different types of FFC cables, they are defined by “A, B, C…” types.

Each type mean different FFC cable construction.

A Type

The stiffer plats of both ends are on the same surface, and on the insulation layer

B Type

The stiffer plats of both ends are on the opposite surface

C Type

The stiffer plates of both ends are on the same surface and applied on the conductor directly.

D Type

The stiffer plates of both ends are on opposite surface and applied on the insulation layer

E Type

The stiffer plate is only on one ends and over the insulation layer, another end without insulation and stiffer plate

F Type

Stiffer plates of both ends are on the same surface, and cover both conductor and insulation layer

G Type

Conductor on both ends are without insulation and stiffer

H type

There is a step cut on the bare conductor
