Introduction to Basic Knowledge of Wiring Terminals

As a type of connector, conductivity is the primary function of terminal blocks. The wires are connected to the circuit board, controller, etc. through wiring terminals to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. The factors that affect the conductivity of terminal blocks mainly include the selection of conductive materials, the design of terminal contact structures, the setting of conductive component dimensions, and the treatment of conductive material surface coatings.

1. Material selection
The wiring terminal uses copper as a conductive material, which has conductivity second only to silver, which is listed first among metals. It has superior electrical and mechanical properties, high hardness, and is not easily deformed; The outer layer is tin plated, enhancing the anti-corrosion performance of the terminal.

2. Contact structure design
The wiring terminals adopt internationally recognized plug-in, spring type, track type and other connection methods. The wires can be in close contact with metal conductive parts, and the contact is firm and not easy to loosen.

3. Processing dimensions
Using high-precision machining machines, strictly control the quality of terminal products, reduce the machining size error of wiring terminals to the minimum allowable value, and regularly inspect and maintain the manufacturing molds to ensure that every terminal produced is of high quality.

4. Surface treatment process
The wire terminal adopts tin plating process for metal conductive parts, which can ensure good contact performance, reduce contact resistance, and tin also has good corrosion resistance; Recently, wire terminals with gold plating technology have also been produced. Gold has lower conductivity than copper, but it has stability and optimal signal transmission performance, which can minimize signal loss.
