The main difference between flexible cables and ordinary cables

1, Conductor Structure and Materials

Conductor design

Flexible cables use multiple strands of fine copper wire twisted conductors, with smaller copper wire diameters and more wires to enhance bending resistance.

Ordinary cable conductors are single strands or thicker copper/aluminum wires, with a simple structure and suitable for fixed installation.

Material selection

Flexible cables use high-purity oxygen free copper and native materials such as silicone and polyurethane sheaths, which have stronger tensile and tear resistance.

Ordinary cables often use PVC or rubber materials, emphasizing conductivity and mechanical strength.

2, Physical performance

Flexibility and fatigue resistance

Flexible cables can withstand high-frequency bending, twisting, and small radius bending, and are suitable for dynamic scenarios such as drag chain systems or robotic arms.

Ordinary cables have poor flexibility and frequent bending can easily lead to breakage or damage to the insulation layer.

Environmental adaptability

Flexible cables are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion, and oil stains, and can operate stably in environments ranging from -40 ℃ to 120 ℃ or humid and corrosive environments.

Ordinary cables have weak environmental tolerance and are often used in conventional indoor environments.
