2. High temperature resistance
A notable feature of FEP sheaths is their excellent heat resistance. FEP sheaths can maintain stable mechanical and electrical properties over a wide temperature range. For instance, some FEP-sheathed cables can operate at temperatures up to 200°C or even higher. This makes them highly suitable for applications that require high temperature tolerance, such as soldering, where the high-temperature effects of a soldering iron do not cause the sheath to melt, deform, or shrink.
3. Chemical stability
FEP material exhibits strong resistance to most chemicals, including oils and other corrosive substances. This chemical inertness ensures the maintenance of physical structural integrity and normal functional operation of cables even when exposed to harsh environments for extended periods. This is particularly advantageous for various medium contact situations common in industrial environments, helping to extend cable lifespan and reduce maintenance costs.

Despite its high hardness, FEP still possesses a certain degree of flexibility, allowing cables to undergo necessary bending during installation without easily breaking. More importantly, the FEP sheath exhibits excellent bending fatigue resistance, meaning it can maintain its original mechanical strength even after multiple repeated bends.
