Overview

The Micro-Fit connector family supports a maximum current of 8.5A with a 3 mm pitch, delivering power through compact packaging with wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations. OEM manufacturers can utilize these power connectors in space-constrained applications.

The Micro-Fit 3.0 Blind-Mate Interface (BMI) connectors are specifically designed for blind-mate applications, allowing for misalignment during mating (according to product specifications). In hard-to-reach applications, such as drawers or fan assembly trays, the connectors require a concealed mating design to prevent damage and save valuable labor hours.

The Micro-Fit TPA connector family helps prevent product failure by providing Terminal Position Assurance (TPA), which adds locking redundancy to reduce terminal disengagement. Assemblers cannot insert the TPA unless the terminals are correctly positioned.

The Micro-Fit 3.0 CPI (Crimp-Free) connectors maintain all the functionality of the standard Micro-Fit 3.0 connectors while offering crimp-free terminal interfaces. When using the recommended PCB layout, this robust "pin-style" design ensures reliable connections. The Micro-Fit 3.0 CPI socket headers can be reconfigured for applications transitioning from soldered to crimp-free designs, which OEMs often prefer due to lower installation costs.

The Micro-Fit 3.0 RME (Reduced Mating Force) terminals are designed for applications requiring lower insertion and withdrawal forces or frequent mating cycles. Pre-lubricated models can withstand up to 250 cycles and are compatible with standard Micro-Fit 3.0 housings. Applications often demand robust terminals and lower mating forces to ease assembly for operators and/or endure high mating cycles.
