Both NEX52041 and NEX52080 are equipped with embedded MCUs and are equipped with 16 kB and 32 kB MTP-ROM respectively, which can flexibly support customized feature design and updates, and can ensure that the charger continues to comply with the latest USB standards through firmware upgrades. The newly launched USB PD controller supports multiple charging protocols, which helps ensure that the USB port can provide stable charging for phones, laptops, and other devices from different manufacturers. In addition to supporting USB PD protocol, the newly launched controller also supports multiple D+/D - based fast charging protocols, which can further enhance compatibility with new and old devices.

NEX52041 and NEX52080 are single port USB PD controllers, packaged in 4mm x 4mm QFN-16 and QFN-24 respectively, equipped with multiple programmable GPIO and I2C interfaces, supporting multi IC communication, suitable for intelligent power management in multi port chargers, helping to save system power budget.

Unlike similar competitors that rely on external devices to achieve sufficient protection, NEX52041 and NEX52080 have an overvoltage tolerance of up to 30 V on the connector pins, which not only improves system reliability but also reduces the need for external protection devices, thereby helping to reduce Bill of Materials (BOM) costs.

NEX52041 and NEX52080 adopt constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) control loops, support applications using optocouplers, and are compatible with various DC/DC and AC/DC converters. Designers can combine the newly launched USB PD controller with Nexperia's AC/DC controllers, MOSFETs, GaN devices, and TVS/ESD products to quickly achieve a one-stop solution for various USB chargers.
