SABIC recently announced the official launch of its new LNPELCRESCXL polycarbonate copolymer resin. This special material exhibits outstanding chemical resistance, which can help customers in the automotive, electronics, industrial, and infrastructure fields cope with environmental stress cracking and premature component failure issues that may occur due to increased exposure to strong chemicals.

Chemical resistant polycarbonate copolymer suitable for multiple industries
The chemical resistance of the new LNPELCRESCXL copolymer resin surpasses traditional amorphous materials such as polycarbonate resin and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) blends. SABIC's internal testing results show that the resin has high tolerance to various chemicals in the automotive, electronics, industrial, and infrastructure fields.
Representative chemicals tested in the automotive and infrastructure sectors include gasoline, antifreeze, 5% caustic soda solution, etc; In industrial application scenarios, testing covers various substances such as tar removers and brake fluids; In scenarios where consumers come into contact with automotive, industrial, and infrastructure equipment, this resin can provide higher chemical resistance protection against chemical components in hand creams, insect repellents, cleaning solutions, and hand sanitizers.
The new CXL combination products are rich and diverse
SABIC's new CXL combination product range is extensive, including opaque and transparent non flame retardant materials, opaque thin-walled flame retardant materials, and glass reinforced materials. These materials possess various high value-added characteristics, such as non brominated/non chlorinated film flame retardancy, low-temperature ductility as low as -60 ℃, high flowability for processing, and good coloring properties to meet aesthetic requirements. In addition, all materials meet the outdoor UV protection and immersion requirements (F1 level) in UL746C standard.
Assist in carbon neutrality and launch bio renewable materials
To promote the achievement of carbon neutrality goals, SABIC also offers the ISCCPLUS certified LNPELCRINCXL product line of bio renewable materials. This material uses bio based alternative materials with lower carbon footprint to replace traditional materials, which can provide the same performance as similar products while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This material is the latest achievement of SABIC's TRUCIRCLE program, which aims to help global businesses achieve sustainable development goals through high-quality products and services.
