TE (Tyco Electronics, TYCO) recently announced the expansion of its RAST compliant PCB (Printed Circuit Board) connector product line to support safety standards for most industrial and household appliances. The expanded product portfolio will cover a variety of sizes, colors, solder pin layouts, and plating options. The new TE PCB connector is an ideal choice for major household appliances and other wire to board connectors and control device applications.
TE Product Manager Joerg Vesper stated, "For many years, TE has been leading the global RAST mother end market. Our new PCB connector (male end) offers a wide range of options that comply with most industrial and household appliance safety standards, including UL94-V0, IEC 60335-1 (GWT 750 ° C), and have been certified by UL, VDE, and CQC. This product expansion enables TE to provide customers with a more optimized product portfolio and more flexible solutions, thereby helping them more confidently respond to the diverse needs of the home appliance market. In addition, the production of this product is at TE's Qingdao factory in China, which also provides a guarantee for TE to better respond to domestic demand and accelerate delivery cycles
TE has launched two types of PCB connectors this time. The PCB connector with a spacing of 5mm that meets the RAST 5 standard provides 2 to 8 positions and 3 solder pin layouts, while the PCB connector with a spacing of 2.5mm that meets the RAST 2.5 standard provides 3 to 15 positions, 1 solder pin layout, and two types of external and internal locking. Both models can choose from tin or silver plating, various colors, and different installation positions to meet customers' customized needs and save costs.
