Recently, TE Connectivity's China Automotive Division has reached an important milestone, with the first phase of its Kunshan factory successfully put into operation and the second phase of construction already underway. It is expected to be fully operational by 2024.
The new factory covers a vast area with a total investment of up to 132 million RMB, including a first phase investment of 40 million RMB and a second phase investment of approximately 92 million RMB. We mainly produce various types of terminals and connectors here, covering hybrid and pure electric connectors. The total planned annual production capacity is expected to reach an astonishing 3.3 billion connectors. Specifically, the production capacity of the first phase of the project will reach 2 billion pieces, while the second phase is expected to contribute approximately 1.3 billion pieces of production capacity. Despite facing multiple challenges such as chip shortages and recurring epidemics in recent years, Taikoo Electronics' automotive business has shown steady growth momentum.
