Amphenol Is Is About To Complete The Acquisition Of CommScope Holding's Broadband Connection Box Cable Business Unit (CCS)

It is reported that connector giant Amphenol is about to complete the acquisition of CommScope Holding's broadband connection box cable business unit (CCS). The total valuation of the transaction is about US $10.5 billion (including debt), which is the largest acquisition in Amphenol's history. This news also marks another major layout of Amphenol in the field of data center and high-speed Internet infrastructure.
The target business of Amphenol's acquisition includes detailed products such as cable TV and residential broadband networking equipment, data center fiber and copper cable connection solutions, mainstream fiber optic access and structured cable products such as DOCSIS/PON. If the transaction goes smoothly, it is expected to complete the acquisition in the second half of this year.
Amphenol can meet the end-to-end interconnection needs of data centers by acquiring CommScope's broadband connection box cable business unit.
