Pentax has launched a 12 pin M8 circular connector product. This product expands the existing M8 product line and sets new standards for applications in industries such as industrial sensor technology, measurement, control, imaging, and robotics. This type of circular connector also has outstanding advantages in miniaturization, flexibility, and performance.

For the newly launched 12 pin M8 product, Guido Werner said, "This is a brand new standard that will lead this type of product further forward and set a new benchmark in the field of signal transmission. It is equipped with two locking methods: thread locking and insertion and extraction, which comply with DIN EN 61076-2-104, and will also release products with C code.
Despite having a large number of pins, the 12 pin M8 product still retains its compact and compact appearance, making it an ideal choice for space limited applications and also expanding its range of applications. The product has a protection level of IP67 and is also suitable for harsh industrial environments. The support for C encoding and its adaptability to future standards will make it one of the solutions for future electrical connections.
Customer demand is both the lead and challenge for new products
The initial design of the 12 pin M8 product was to meet customer customization requirements. A major customer requires a new generation length measurement system that can transmit over 8 types of signals and cannot exceed the size of M8.
Faced with such requirements, Guido Werner said, "The 12 pin M8 product faced many challenges for our product design and development department. One of the biggest challenges was how to integrate the 12 pins into the M8 size. Later, we designed a symmetrical pin layout and introduced 5 small positioning points to ensure power supply safety and protect these sensitive pins. Finally, during the production process, trained personnel processed and used different colored fixtures to accurately arrange the wires, and successfully completed these challenges
Has achieved success in various applications
The 12 pin M8 circular connector product is already a reasonable supplement to Pentax standard products. It has been applied in the long-distance measurement systems of industry leaders mentioned earlier, as well as in the automated processes used for environmental analysis in laboratories. The 12 pin M8 connector has also been integrated into industrial cameras by well-known manufacturers.
