Kostron will provide low-carbon, high-performance polycarbonate solutions for cutting-edge communication products such as RF antennas for Qiqi Technology.

Covestro's innovative material solutions have been widely applied in the communication industry. For example, thermal grade polycarbonate, as a high-quality alternative to traditional metal components, provides innovative thermal management solutions for advanced communication applications such as 5G, supporting disruptive design changes and functional integration of hardware devices.
The new strategic cooperation will revolve around the Covestro recycled polycarbonate product line, which can reduce the carbon footprint of end products. For example, Covestro has launched a UL certified post consumer physical recycling polycarbonate with a recycling content of 90%. This material can reduce carbon emissions by 70% compared to the original bio stone based material, while its performance is comparable to it.
Covestro has also launched the RE series polycarbonate with a share of recycled biomass raw materials. This series has high performance equivalent to fossil based products and can be directly applied to existing production processes, meeting high demand application scenarios such as optics and harsh outdoor environments.
